Team News

After Cobras first silverware the week before in a superb cup final win the players after the 3 hour ! journey did start the game slowly. The pitch after the wait of getting there well worth it and a credit to the opposition. It did however seem larger than what we are used to and the home side started with more confidence on the surface. They soon were 4-0 up and really it must be said were not worthy of the score line. Individual errors  when defending particularly from corners flattered the opposition team. I think every Cobra player can tell you what's coming at next weeks training session. What is important though is knowing you don't ever give in ! Not just in football but in sport and life generally and that spirit shown by Cobras in the last 10 minutes is what pleased manager, coach and supporters most making the journey home not feel so bad or long !Not a report to mention everyone this week but we lost 4-1 and Sebastian never gave the ball up and challenged the goalie to get his and the teams break and score our only goal. Those boots are starting to pay down the investment after only one game.Man of the match went to Cameron and for the third week to Locky. This team has some great attitude and is a super team as opposed to one full of individual stars. Advice would be to keep listening to the coaches and eradicate your errors and you are and will continue to be very hard to beat. There was evidence for a split second why we need the respect barrier not for an invasion of the pitch (you villa boys ) but maybe a face mask to muffle the words !!! The apology was quick coming and the passion similar to what we see in the lads so long may it continue! Thanks to Simon for stepping in for next weeks report about to taxi and not to Vegas ...
