Castle Juniors 1 v 2 Four Oaks Panthers

A trip over to Tamworth for us today up against a strong well organised team, we knew this was going to be a good game ahead.  Kicking up hill into the wind we thought it was going to be difficult first half but Panthers held strong  and settled down, they started playing some nice passing football, with a new look midfield with Bobby on the left, Will on the right, Regan and Mitchel in the middle all looking sharp, Bobby put a great cross in to the centre but it couldn’t be met by anyone, then it was Will’s turn on the other side but I feel it was going to be one of those games when we had all the chances but the ball wasn’t going in the net.  Regan once again started the Panthers attack but again a shot from Nathan went wide.  Attack after attack from Panthers with capt Joe going on one of his runs trying to create a chance, then Castle had a rare attack, Jamie tried to keep the shot out but it flew into the net 1 v 0 to Castle, half time.  We started the second half with some changes bringing Ethan on the right and moving Will on the left, Panthers started of strong with Brad making a good run down the wing passing to Will who made the pass to Bobby who hit a sweet left footed strike into the top right hand corner, a well deserved great goal 1v1.  Castle then came on the attack but Bailey and Tom YD worked hard to take the ball of him and played it away.  Panthers then made another sub with Alex coming on with Connor who started working hard up front and closing down the Castle defence it looked like Panthers were hungry for the 3 points, with almost the last kick of the ball Nathan won a free kick 25 yards out, up stepped Bobby, who once again showed how to strike a free kick.... it flew over their keeper who tried to get his fingers to it 1v2, final whistle, what a nail biting game right to the end.
