Four Oaks Falcons 4 V 3 Sutton Town Blues
Pitch : Bishop Walsh
Match Report

Falcons travelled to Bishop Walsh school for their 2nd cup tie against Sutton Town Blues without hard working captain and central midfielder Jordan.

Sutton went 1up from a cross that wasn't defended by Falcons gifting a goal against the run of play.

The game was well competed 1st half with Sutton going in 1up. Sutton scored again early in the 2nd half making it 2-0. Wake up Falcons!

2-0 down some Falcons had their chins on their chests but they picked their heads up rolled up their sleeves and decided to play football.

Oli worked well and got a deserved goal from a greay strike to make it 2-1. Game on.

Falcons pressed hard but left it open at the back gifitting Sutton with a chance on goal which they took well making it 3-1. Most teams would have been finished. Not Four Oaks Falcons.

Falcons took the game by the scruff of the neck and threw everything at  Sutton, Oli lead the line with another 2 goals giving him a well deserved hatrick and levelling the game 3-3. Now it was all to play for.

Both teams continued to press hard and defended well but with 1 minute left Wil popped one in from a shot that Sutton keeper could only push out 4-3, Final whistle!

mgrs comments:

Lads you must remember your positions and shape. You were responsible for the goals conceded. Although Sutton scored them we did little to stop them. You have to work together at all times and keep your positions tightly controlled.

On a positive note you really deserved that win today for sheer determination, never let your heads drop. Hopefully you have learned a lesson today. Play to your strengths not the other teams and play to the final whistle!

well done.
